Yes they accept debut and credit cards. Always good food and good service. Servings are good size. Half skillets are enough enless you are a big eater.
Hate that I'm leaving this review. I have been here for years!! Before it sold and was still Duncan's the food was amazing!! Got breakfast from there today, orders steak breakfast. Steak wasnt cooked how I ordered, it was dry, and lacked flavor. Hurts me to leave to leave this review. The staff was always amazing. Hoping it was just a bad day. Good portion size though.
Legit American breakfast, friendly fast service.
Portions are huge I always get the half portions and I leave with a very happy belly. Definitely recommend them!
Reminded me of the old fashioned cafes we used to visit as a kid food was great prices are right Services great
Good food
Great food, nice staff, great atmosphere
Fantastic home style menu with friendly staff. Great value for the amount of food you get. Large helpings and plenty of meals to pick from. If you don't mind the location and atmosphere, it's the perfect place for the family or quick lunch.
Great breakfast food!!! Worth the wait!!!
Inexpensive. Friendly, attentive service. Coffee cup never got past half full. Hash browns cooked right (thick crust). Not skimpy with the bacon.
Always have breakfast on Saturday morning, always very busy, best hashbrowns
Great place for breakfast. Had the breakfast skillet and it was great. They have homemade hot sauce that compliments everything. Crowd was mostly retired folk. The service was fast and friendly. I'd definitely return.
Great place to go for breakfast! Fun friendly atmosphere and the food is amazing!!
Great food! Great service!
Good people,, good food. Even when you've not been there for awhile, they remember you. Fun loving as well. Can joke with you, give as good as they get.
Fun spot. Great food!!!! Mom had difficulty with the steps. Needs to be more accessible. But worth the climb! Staff is always so friendly!
The food was fast and great. The service was also great. No complaints!
Seriously Devine! Highly recommend!
Great Food and Great Service, and very friendly staff 💜👍
Great breakfast, i like everything I've had, but they are usually pretty busy.
43 years in business and I can see why. The food was great, it was plentiful, it didn't cost an arm and a leg and the staff is friendly. It has a Midwestern charm you don't find in the big city.
Always good food. Personable staff.
Great food. Ridiculous hours. Most people are looking for a good place for dinner. And don't even get out of work until after 5pm. More hours open night be wise.
Amazing find. Felt like I was back in Chicago as we wound our way through a quaint downtown and into a renovated old hotel lobby way to get here off the hiway on our way to Omaha. Tasty food, decent portions, hot coffee, real cream, excellent staff. Thanks for yelping people! You saved us from roadway routine !!
Ridiculously crowded. Don't come looking for lunch on Sundays, as they don't serve it. HOWEVER, the homemade cinnamon roll, which is huge, is the best I have ever tasted. The breakfasts are excellent too. Sausage had a different taste, kind of like spam. Ham looked good.
Love this little place.
Legends is just the same as Duncan's. Just the different name. Same great food, same great people, same nice atmosphere! Glad to see we still have a mom and pop like homestyle cooking restaurant!!!!
Sometimes busy but they are always worth it. Good homestyle cooking in a diner setting. They are called Legends cafe now..
Very very good home cooked food and good atmospere would visit again
Friendly service and good value with very cheap prices!
Great breakfast!!!The kitchen sink omelet is awesome. Hash browns are also really good. Good service. And great prices.Ten times better than McDonald's or fast food.
Have never had a bad meal at Duncan's. Breakfast is always good, but you can't go wrong for lunch either. Definitely a must go stop if you want to get away from the chains.
The staff at Duncan's always takes great care of my wife and I. The food is always good with large portions and affordable
Love this place. Friendliest service in town and the food to match.
Good food, great service, and the cozy feel you expect from a humble staple in the community. Really good chicken fried steak and eggs. NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE
Amazing service, amazing food (cinnamon roll was one of the best) and great price value. Non stop coffee pours. Kids loved the pancakes and french toast. Wife and I loved the cinnamon roll and hash browns. Highly recommend this place!
Love family owned joints with delicious food
The waitress in the cafe was just amazing. She remembered our drinks and order and we had only been in once before! Very good service and great food!
Family owned and run. Great service! Best hash browns of my life. Lots of food for you $. You can't visit just once. You'll keep coming back and become a regular because it's just that awesome.
Delicious food. Small town feel. Have a big appetite as portions are large. I will get 2 more meals out of the breakfast skillet.
Food is meh at best, but you do get a lot of it. Service is top notch. In relation to my food comment, I added mushrooms to my omelette, I expected maybe some fresh mushrooms? They were the sauteed kind that look like they're out of a can that you'd top a steak or burger with. Stick with the basics here and you'll do all right.
This is like your classic small town main street cafe anywhere across the heartland. No frills but good food.I had the small skillet which is cheesy hash browns with egg and sausage. I doused it with their in house hot sauce and it didn't dissapoint. The hash browns were nice and crispy but a little greasy.I've never had their lunch but their breakfast stands on its own.
We were in town for an event and decided we wanted to try to eat local. Found this gem. The whole Main St. feel is amazing. Got in to the cafe, the staff was very nice and helpful. Got our food ordered and everything was amazing. Nothing beats an authentic cafe breakfast vs something chain, like McDs or Perkins. The pancakes are the size of a large plate. Everything tastes great and they keep your coffee cup full. The only thing I would recommend is that once you are finished eating, you go to the register to pay. We did not realize that and no one told us so we sat at our table for a solid 10 minutes for no reason. But between the rest of the service and the quality of food, still five stars.
Awesome breakfast menu. Healthy portions. Excellent service. Courteous wait staff. We had a party of 16 and we were treated like royalty. Highly recommend.
Great food and always awesome service
Great service. Good food.
I wanted to try Duncan's for sometime and since I had a friend coming into town I needed to wine and dine, I thought I would check it out in advance on a weekday am, in theory easier to rate and review than a weekend morning. They were very busy, nearly all tables filled and with 2 very hard working and fully utilized servers. The prices are low and I was looking forward to trying their breakfast. I waited about 25 minutes for my food straight off the menu, and when you consider how busy they were, it could be expected. Yes I had breaky for under $10, including tip. But I wasn't all that thrilled. I'd rather pay more and be more satisfied with my meal.
A great, homey place for breakfast or lunch. It's been a favorite of many people for years. There's no skimping on portions; my favorite is the French dip with swiss and mushrooms - the roast beef is plentiful, very tender, and not fatty. Want your fries crispy? They'll do that. I've seen tenderloin sandwiches that can feed at least 2 people, if not more. Carol, the owner, and her staff are super friendly, and they all look after the customers - not just "their" tables. It's like being with family. I don't live in Council Bluffs anymore, but when I make a trip home, Duncan's is a great place to grab lunch! I definitely recommend it!
I love this place. Very clean, prompt service. The food is exquisite. So relaxing and enjoyable. Everyone works so well together like a team effort, it was nice.
Love this place. Friendly staff. Great food. Better be hungry if you make the trip.
Very basic food preparation & quality. Tried the Chicken Fried Steak. The steak was frozen (Sysco?) then fried. Hash browns had a hard fried top & bottom & mushy inside. Gravy smacked of 'flour' & continued to thicken, very heavy. Eggs were good as they were probably the only not frozen/heated up item served. Staff was friendly & service to expectations nothing more.
